Sewing - a new shirt for stage

So I found this incredible fabric online and ordered 2 yards to make a top to wear on stage for our current U.S. tour. Its called "Women of Science and Learning Toile de Jouy." Depicted are Marie Curie, Jane Goodall, Rachel Carson, Hypatia, Elena Piscopia, the first woman to receive a Ph.D, and astronomer Henrietta Leavitte. Incredible!

Above is the shirt hanging in my closet once finished.

Here is a closeup of the fabric. Its just beautiful.

Placing a pattern for a shift dress/boat neck top on the material. I wasn't sure if it would be a dress or a top yet but in the end decided to make separates.

Almost hard to cut this stuff. It could be framed as is.

Front and back on the fold so no zipper would be necessary.

That whole "measure twice, cut once" saying can go for anything in life. I measured about 16 times.

A collage from a show in Canada, wearing the shirt. I liked how the lavender and cream went with the pink hair (hard to tell in the stage lights). The details get lost in the distance but I know whats there.

A close up. Bigger boatneck next time and a full dress probably.

Oh and the tour was pretty much sold out. Here's Chicago. So fortunate!

Record Store Day release

Here's the cover of our band's 7" released just for Record Store Day. "Brightside"/"In the Picture" - two songs that didn't make it on our album Run Fast but are still a couple of favorites of mine. "In the Picture" was our country inspired song!

Just My Kind, our newest video!
